Statistics say that more than 140 million children are considered as orphans per definition or cause. They may have lived on the streets, landfills, or sewer systems as they are struggling in maintaining life on scarce resources. The rampant cases of both man and natural disasters have created a significant shift to the life of these young children. A lot of determined causes are continuously sprouting on current and universal events – wars, diseases, poverty, natural disasters, accidents, and total abandonment. Other reasons would involve neglect, abuse, child slavery, child prostitution, cultural and race tensions, religious injustices, and so much more.
These children could have been enrolled to school, enjoying the company of their new found friends and classmates while honing their individual abilities, skills, and talents. They could have relished on nutritious and delicious meals rather than those scavenged left over from trash bins. They could have been luxuriating on a life free from health concerns and mental oppressions. They could have experienced continued love, care, and support of a family. These kids are too young to witness and experience such traumatizing and horrible situations. A lot of potentials are concealed behind their daily struggles.
